Polish M: Garden of Wisdom and Spring Fling

Spring Has Sprung...
On My Nails!

Happy Spring everyone! Although, it does not look or feel like Spring where I am just yet, I am just glad Winter is starting to die out. I am a Spring baby, and cannot wait for what is coming this year for me. I get to experience IMATS in NYC for the first time ever! For those of you who are not familiar with IMATS, it stands for International Makeup Art Trade Show. It is not just an event for beauty makeup or everyday makeup looks, it is for FX makeup artists, makeup artists for television shows, film industry, modeling and more! Very well known people come from all over the world to show their skills and share tips with fans of their work and also big beauty brands come with their makeup goods for sale! :D

Downside is I will be missing my boyfriend. He will be away all summer and I won't see him till July after basic training is completed and then he will be away for another training session till October. :( It is something he is doing to better our future and he has always wanted to serve his country and join the Air Force. I don't always come here to type about my personal life, just wanted to let some of you viewers know a bit more about me and what will be going on that may affect my blog writing.

Anyway, back to nails now! I have here a familiar brand...but wait! Her polishes are no longer called Laquerlicious! Michelle has decided to rename her brand to something more true and personal to her and she chose Polish 'M. Polishes by Michelle. I love her decision to change it to what makes her feel more part of her own brand and that it makes her happy. Below are all the polishes I currently own from Michelle. From top row; left to right I have Peppermint Twist, A Letter From Santa, Ember Glow. Supreme Queen, Onyx Glaze, and Treasure-A Bull. From bottom row; left to right I have Garden Of Wisdom, Spring Fling, V-Day=D-Day, Summer's First Bloom, Adore-A Bull, and Lady Liberty. I will only be focusing on my newest editions; Garden Of Wisdom and Spring Fling. My other polishes here can be found throughout my blog. :)

I am wearing two coats of Garden Of Wisdom on all of my nails. For my accent nail, I am wearing one coat of Spring Fling along with some dabbing and glitter placement. Garden Of Wisdom is a lovely mint green shade with bits of small glitter in blue, yellow, purple, orange, coral and green in hex, square, circle and bar shapes. It applies very nicely for a crelly polish. I still used a top coat to seal for added gloss and shine. I used Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat for this manicure.

Spring Fling is an all glitter bomb polish. It is filled with different shaped glitter and shimmer along with butterflies, bows and stars and in all sorted colors. I love that you can use this glitter polish over many polishes since its polish base is clear. I do recommend a good top coat to seal the glitter from falling off or getting caught into these. I used two coats of top coat to seal the glitter.

Thought I'd show a close up so you can see the glitter much closer. I was able to capture that shimmer I mentioned is in there. ;) I love everything about this polish!

To make my manicure even more of a Spring theme I added cherry blossoms. :) It is my favorite thing to see when cherry blossoms start to bloom.

Overall, I love my polishes from Michelle. I cherish every single one I own from her. <3 I will have the websites attached below for these products. If the site is down, or shop is closed, the owner is most likely setting up for a restock, taking a break, or temporarily closed to catch up with orders. Just give them a follow on their social sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. and keep updated till they are ready to open once again. Have a great day everyone! ^_^

Bliss Polish

Bliss Polish:
Icy You Staring &
Shake It Off

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing with you all some holo polishes from Bliss Polish! They are absolutely gorgeous! I could not stop shining my nails and the polish bottles in sunlight and with my flashlight. :D One of these beauties is also said to be a dupe for L'oreal Paris' Masked Affair; which is very hard to find in some areas of the US. I have not had the luck to even find a display anywhere in my area. I believe this dupe is better though. It was handmade with love and it is not limited edition. :)

First up to share is Icy You Staring. This is the one I believe is a dupe for the infamous Masked Affair. It took me two coats to build opacity and added one coat of Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat to add some more shine and gloss to it. The photo below shows it when being exposed to just a lamp light while in my light box.

Below is a photo using flash so you can see more of that holo goodness! I added chevron stripes to my manicure using Nail Vinyls by Linda and Shake It Off.

Next up is Shake It Off all on its own. This beautiful bright blue holo took two coats as well to build opacity. I also added Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat. It is absolutely beautiful! Both photos below were taken using flash.

I wanted to see what it looked like at another angle. Looks a tad purple in certain areas. Definitely a must have polish if you love blue and/or holo polishes! I recommend checking out Bliss Polish by Yvette. She is the bomb with creating these polishes!

You can find the websites to these products at the links provided below! The product you wanted is sold out? Shop is closed? Just follow the brand on their social medias; Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter and keep up to date with them so you don't miss their reopening date! <3 Happy Shopping everyone and have a great day!

Illyrian Polish: Galactic Abyss & Neptune

Illyrian Polish:
Galactic Abyss &
Neptune

Hello everyone! I am back with some new polishes to blog about. I have here a new indie brand created by a fellow nail blogger/swatcher; Vanessa of IG: @Mrslochness has created her own indie polish line called Illyrian Polish. She has been doing such a great job on her line. Her polishes have been selling like crazy! I was lucky enough to get these two before they sold out again! ^_^ I was able to get a hold of Galactic Abyss and Neptune before they sold out for good! They are discontinued at this time.

I have below photos of Neptune and Galactic Abyss in their bottles. On the right are close ups so you can see the glitters more closely. Excuse the poor quality. I just could not get these to show up more clearly and at the time sun was just not coming out to say hello.

Below I have on two coats of Galactic Abyss to build its opacity. It is a deep green based polish; which looks almost black depending on the light. It has light iridescent added in there as well that shifts from blue, red and green. I used one coat of Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat for added shine. This photo was taken using just my flash on my iPhone 5s. It looks more black here as you can see, the flash did not do it any justice.

Below is a photo taken in my light box still using my iPhone 5s, but you can see the color is more true to its actual form than the one above. I am holding the polish bottle of Galactic Abyss; which looks just like how it does on my nails. No tricks or surprises with this polish. If there is anything I dislike the most, it would be using a polish that looks totally different from the bottle to nail. (Unless it's suppose to be a shifter or thermal.)  :)

Lastly, I have the same polish but taken outside in the sunlight. I was also showing off my new Jeffree Star Cosmetics velour liquid lipstick in Celebrity Skin shade (True nude shade). Definitely check his line out if you also love indie makeup lines. You can find him on IG: @Jeffreestarcosmetics or his website www.jeffreestarcosmetics.com ;) I absolutely love this polish! Such a cool shade and applies like a dream.

Below is a photo of my manicure using two coats of Neptune. It is a gorgeous deep navy blue based polish with iridescent and bright blue glitter lightly sprinkled in there. I used one coat of Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat to add more shine and glossiness.

Another photo just at another angle so you can see some of the iridescent in there. I have a bit of a hard time really cleaning my cuticle area of the excess polish. I'm a messy painter some days. :/

One last look at Neptune. I love what Vanessa has been creating. I will have two more beauties up here in a separate blog post. As soon as I get them from being shipped I would love to try them out. :) I absolutely recommend trying out this lovely lady's polishes. One of a kind colors and apply so nicely. Like I have stated, these shades in particular have been discontinued unless, she otherwise states she can make them again. She still has many other beautiful polishes to view on her website; which is linked below. <3 Happy Shopping and have a great day everyone! ^_^
