Holiday Manicures

Holiday
Mani-A!

Happy Holidays everyone! I am sharing today some holiday manicures I have been doing the past month. I made sure to do my holiday shopping a head of time so I could have time to put these together. :)

So, first up I will be showing a quick pictorial on how to get those candy cane nail designs you may have been seeing around. Step 1, paint your base color after painting a clear base coat and let sit for about 2 min. I used Rica Polish: Whiteout for my base. Step 2, apply your nail strips according to how you want. I did one large strip at the bottom corner of my nail then proceeded with a small and then medium and so on with just medium and small. I purchased these strips from www.NailVinyls.com (IG: @Teisom) Step 3, paint on your desired color. I used here Sinful Colors: No Text Red. After applying the polish, immediately but carefully remove the strips using a tweezer then let it sit to dry for a few minutes and clean up your edges of excess polish. Step 4, you can touch up if its needed. If the design came out perfect then just top coat the design using your desired top coat and the design is completed. :)

Below I have a manicure showing Polished By KPT: Naughty and Nice on four of my nails. It is a red thermal polish with scattered holographic pigments and blue iridescent. It changes from Red when cold, to a pink when warm. On my middle nail I have used a holiday sweater pattern from HD-I Bunny Nails brand stamping plate. My ring nail is of a green spearmint candy cane and my pinky has one coat of Serum No.5 Yule Light Up My Life. Base coat used underneath is Dream Polish: Smooth Gem base coat and for top coat I used their Gem Glam top coat.

Below is my right hand; also known as my Cinderella hand. :D I have on still Polished By KPT and a red peppermint candy cane design on my accent instead of the green, and only my pinky has on Serum No.5: Yule Light Up My Life.

Next up is a new brand I just purchased from called Nvr Enuff Polish. I have here Extraterrestrial. It is a beautiful dark blue holo polish. I used flash to take this photo so you can the holographic pigment shine through. It took me three coats to build opacity and used Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat. My accent nail is two coats of Azature: Peal diamond. It really does resemble a pearl and is absolutely gorgeous.

Below I added art to Extraterrestrial and Pearl Diamond. I used Bunny Nails: HD-I stamping plate for the snowflakes.
Again for the candy cane design I used Nail Vinyls by Linda (IG: Teisom). How to can be found above as well as link to the site for purchasing.

Lastly, on my right hand, I have on two coats of Dollish Polish: I Am The One Who Knocks (Breaking Bad inspired) on my pinky nail. It is suppose to resemble Walter White's Blue Sky drug, but it also is great for resembling the Winter season. :D On my accent nail I just have on Azature: Pearl Diamond. Middle nail has Sinful Colors: Ruby Ruby, and I did an ombre on my pointer nail using Polish My Life: Breakfast On Fifth and Rica Polish: Whiteout and stamped on dark blue snowflakes using Bunny Nails: HD-I stamping plate.

I had a great time creating these designs and hope you have or had a great holiday! As always links to websites are posted below! If some are closed keep up to date by following that brand on their social medias. Happy shopping! <3

Fall Into Winter: Fall, Winter Manicures and Stamping Tips

Fall Into
Winter

Hey everyone! sorry it has been taking me long to post something new. I have had some personal things going on and had to put off doing blogs. Just want to make it clear that I do my blogs, nail art and polish reviews for fun and to relieve the everyday stresses of the world. It is my hobby, not my life. I respect those who do these everyday and make an income. Thank you to those who continue to read my blogs and show support. <3 I will try my best to keep these blogs going. I love putting these together! :)

Now back on to nails! :) I am sharing today some more Fall manicures and going into Winter/holiday manicures. I will be showing more nail art this blog post! You will also notice lots of indie polish brands will be mentioned, so many that I will tell you as you read more into the blog post.

Below is a Fall manicure using two coats of Zoya Polish Emilia on three of my nails. It is a creamy chocolate brown polish and it applies like a dream! On my accent nail is Pinwheel Polish: How Do You Boo? It is initially a Halloween polish but I was working Halloween day so I could not get the chance to paint my nails for the occasion. As you can see it is still a nice Fall polish to wear. It is a white crelly polish that took me three coats to build its opacity. For top coat I used Dream Polish Gem Glam and I used their Smooth Gem base coat prior to painting my nails. In my hand I am holding Simply Pure Hydrating Oil pen by Bliss Kiss. It is perfect for on the go to apply to your cuticle to keep them moisturized.

Below is the same manicure as above just added some art to it. I painted on leaves falling with orange and yellow polka dots. I guess the green on the tips can resemble grass :D I wasn't really thinking much when I did this, just did the art.

Below is my manicure using three coats of Lacquer Lust: Ho Ho Holodays. It is a lovely holographic green polish and applies just lovely. It was from last year's Holiday Trio collection. Accent nail is two coats of Arcane Lacquer: Twinkling Tinsel. It is a gorgeous polish filled with gold glitter in all sorts of sizes and shapes. It also carries some reds, silver and green, with gold star shaped glitter and gold shreds.
(Not real gold in this polish) I used Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat and their Smooth Gem base coat.

Below is the same manicure as shown above just added silver and vampy red chevron stripes. The silver polish is Cult Nails: Lethal and the vampy red duochrome with holo is Angel wings Nails: Countess. Used Nail Vinyls by Linda to get the chevron stripes on my nails.

Yes, below are my nails. If you also follow me on my Instagram account: @TiffanysPolishCollection then you know my nails have been cut. I got a bad crack in my middle nail so to keep from them getting any worse, I cut them all down. Back to square 1 and back to square shaped nails for now. I will miss the claws but, they will grow back.

Below is one of the most luxurious polishes I have in my polish collection! I have here my very first Azature polish! The polish is luxurious because it is infused with a real black diamond inside the bottle and they cost $25 a bottle! I was lucky to snag this at a discount of $18 plus 10% off discount using CODE: AZVIP10 This shade is Jade. It is a very creamy jade shade. Took me almost one coat to apply but did two coats. Used Dream Polish base and top coats. On the back of the bottle it describes the Jade gem. "This shade is inspired by the Jade diamond. Jade became very rare , valued gem in China and remains a symbol of good luck today. -Azature

Below I am still wearing Azature: Jade and used Rica Polish: Whiteout for stamping (Best indie polish for stamping!) and Bunny Nails: HD-I stamping plate for the nail stamp art. From left to right I have stamped on an elf, snow flakes, a single snowflake, and a candy cane. I used to have such a hard time nail stamping but once I was taught the tricks to get them working, I went stamp crazy! Ha ha! :D

Tips on stamping:

  • First make sure you peel off the protecting vinyl on the stamping plates. It won't work unless its removed.
  • Wipe down the plate using acetone and a cotton pad or cotton ball then let dry.
  • Buff your brand new stamper lightly with a nail file then wipe the stamper with acetone as well to rid of any protecting resin that was used in the making of the stamper.
  • Try using an old gift card as a scraper instead of the scraper that is provided with the stamper. Tend to get better scraping action by doing so.
  • Lastly, test it out a few times before putting it to action on your nails. Always use polish that work well with stamping.
Hope these tips help you all as they have helped me! :)

Below is what the Bunny Nails HD-I stamping plate looks like. It has all the fun festive prints I was looking for for the holidays.

Next up to share with you all is Different Dimension: Christmas at Tiffany's. It is a gorgeous shade of blue with white and silver glitter in different shapes and sizes, as well as tiny silver stars. I applied three coats and used Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat to seal the glitter. On my accent nail is two coats of Claire's Breakfast at Tiffany's (Yes, the Claire's accessory shop we see in many malls in the U.S.) and on top is Laquerlicious: A Letter From Santa. I love all the glitter in this polish! So festive and fun. I also applied Dream Polish: Gem Glam over it and three coats to be exact so the glitter will not come off.

Below is of the same photo as above on the left just a solo shot. I find it just absolutely stunning! Simple, yet festive. It has a perfect balance for that winter and holiday theme manicure.

I wanted to be a little more festive for the season by adding snowflakes using my Bunny Nails HD-I stamping plate. It came out so nice and you can still see the stars and glitter.

Overall, I love all my polishes mentioned here and my new nail art stamping plate! I have all the links to these shop posted below as always! :) If you have any questions let me know! I will try to answer to the best of my ability. Please remember, not all of these polishes may currently be available. Some were limited time for the season. Enjoy your week everyone and happy shopping always! <3

Polish For A Cause

Polish For A Cause

Hey everyone! Just sharing some photos of manicures I did for the month of October that spread awareness to causes. The causes I am showing awareness for are; Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Domestic Violence Awareness.

My first manicure I am sharing is supporting awareness for Pregnancy and infant loss. I am wearing here two coats of Lime Crime's Parfait Day (Baby Pink color) and Once in a Blue Mousse (Baby blue color). Over them both I have applied two coats of Pinwheel Polish Tiny Miracle. On my accent nail I started with two coats of Rica Polish Whiteout then topped it off with two coats of Love Angeline Polish Forever My Baby. For top coat, I used Dream Polish Glam top coat in Pink Sugar scent.

Pinwheel Polish's Tiny Miracle helps the owner of Pinwheel Polish; Janna, personally to help pay for her procedures to help her have her very own tiny miracle. It is a lovely scattered holo polish with tiny pink and blue glitter.

Love Angeline's Forever My Baby is a charitable polish I purchased last year. Proceeds went to March of Dimes. This year she has available "Dreaming of Angels" which is a lovely clear based polish with pink and aqua shimmer, rainbow flakes and iridescent micro glitters. I do not currently own it at the moment.
Natosha specifically built her entire polish brand in memory of her baby, Angeline. This polish specifically helped donate to help with research for infant fatality in the wound, premature birth, birth defects, grieving mothers mourning the loss of their still birth baby or babies, and death in the wound. More information can be found at... http://www.marchofdimes.org/mission/history.aspx

Next manicure is for my support for Breast Cancer Awareness. I created half moon designs on four of my nails using three coats of Serum No.5 Pink Lantern; which is a limited edition polish that is only available for the month of October. I then let it dry and applied  ring binder stickers halfway on my nails and painted on Pipe Dream Polish Cha-Ching and with a nail art polish I added the white trimming. It is such a pretty bright pink color that is perfect for this awareness.

The next polishes I used in this manicure is Serum No. 5 Awesome Blossom. It is close to Pink Lantern but it is a cream polish that is slightly a different shade and has shimmer in it. It also glows purple when charged by the sun or UV lamp where as PL glows more yellowish white. Over Awesome Blossom I painted on two coats of Fickle Fairy Potions Girl Fight. It is another charitable polish that helped donate towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. As always I sealed these babies with a fast dry top coat to give it a shiny gloss finish and help make the manicure last longer.

For further information on Breast Cancer and the BCF visit their website at: http://www.bcrfcure.org/

Below is my manicure glowing! My accent nail is not glowing as much because I did not charge it enough and needed sunlight to really charge it to give it a good purple glow. I still love this manicure and was easy to design.

Last up to show is my support for Domestic Violence Awareness manicure. I used Lime Crime's Lavendairy as my base for four nails; which is the light lavender purple shade, then applied Powder Perfect Peeling Wallpapers on for an accent on my ring finger and on the tips of nails along with polka dots. Over peeling wallpapers, I applied Different Dimension: No More on my accent nail; It was a polish made specially for DVA. Over my other four nails I used China Glaze Fairy dust.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone; men and women, any age group, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, socio-economic class, etc. Below are some facts based on victimization from the Safe Horizon website:
  • 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
  • Women experience more than 4 million physical assaults and rapes because of their partners, and men are victims of nearly 3 million physical assaults.
  • Women are more likely to be killed by an intimate partner than men
  • Women ages 20 to 24 are at greatest risk of becoming victims of domestic violence.
  • Every year, 1 in 3 women who is a victim of homicide is murdered by her current or former partner. (SafeHorizon)

If you or know someone who may be in such a situation or just want more information, check out their website http://www.safehorizon.org/page/domestic-violence-statistics--facts-52.html or check for local Women's Resource Centers in your area you can visit either in person, by phone or website.

Below is a close up of the glitter polish; No More by Different Dimension. I love everything about this manicure and what it stands for. I believe that us women give others as much power as we grant them. Do not let anyone get away with treating you unfairly. Love should not hurt. You are also not alone out there. <3

I know I was a bit late posting these manicures and blog post. I will have another up soon that will be more recent. Note; not all of these polishes will be available at this time. Check with the brands' websites; which will be stated below. Happy Shopping everyone! :)

Polish TBH: Rue's Song

Polish TBH:
Rue's song

Hi there everyone! I have here a Hunger Games inspired polish called Rue's Song by Polish TBH. It is a lovely deep plum shade with bits of copper, gold, teal and blue glitter. Below is a photo of the bottle and a close up of polish. It comes in a 15mL sized bottle.

Below is my manicure. It took me two coats to build opacity and it applied with ease. I had no trouble with the glitter thickening or being goopy at all. I still used a top coat to seal it all and give it some shine. I used Dream Polish Gem Glam Top Coat in Pink Sugar scent. I love that it is a low odor, high shine, and fast dry top coat.

Below is another photo of my manicure, just another angle. To be honest, I bought this polish because I love the color, I did enjoy the Hunger Games movie and it is the name of my boyfriend's dog; which was Rue, who passed two years ago this month. I did not get to know the dog as well because I was just starting the relationship and he was already in his final stages. From what my boyfriend told me and shown me in photos and videos of when he was younger, he was a very sweet, protecting, energetic, caring, understanding, and loyal Jack Russell Terrier. My boyfriend also told me that Rue changed his view on dogs. He encountered a negative situation with a dog when he was little and this companion completely changed him afterwards. <3

Back to polish now :D My photo below is a close up of Rue's Song on my index nail. I wish I could have gotten a clearer view of the glitter in this close up. It is definitely a beautiful polish. Polish TBH is also having a 35% sale on all polishes. Use CODE: TBHTBH. Her shop will be closed soon and not open for a while. Dream Polish is also having a sale. Take 20% off your order of over $15+ with CODE: SPOOKY. So jump to it ladies and gents and happy shopping always! :) Websites found below!

Fall Approved Polishes

Fall is Here!
Fall Manis Too!

I have been gone for a bit too long! I finally have some time to put together some photos and a new blog post! This blog post is a little different from my usual posts. I am sharing some polishes I tried so far that I think are great colors for the fall season; especially in colder climates like where I am in Pennsylvania, USA. Enough ranting though, let the sharing begin! :)

The photo below shows Dollish Polish; Slice of Life with Jolie Polish; Grey Crelly with Liquid Sky Lacquer; O' Captain! My Captain! all with top coat on them. Slice of Life is 5 Free; which means it is formulated without Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor, and never tested on animals. It is a gorgeous dark red with shimmer. This polish is based on the show "Dexter".

This lovely glitter polish pictured below is not only in memory of Robbin Williams, but also each one purchased donates towards raising awareness for depression. 100% of the proceeds get donated. No portion of the money is being profited back to Liquid Sky Lacquer for this collection. This polish is also 5 Free and formulated without Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor.

In the photo below I am holding a bottle of Jolie Polish; Grey Crelly and on the right I am holding a clean up brush I purchased from Jolie Polish. It helps clean around my nails of excess polish and my cuticle area. I highly recommend using this! All you do is dip the brush in acetone and clean up the areas to be cleaned up and to maintain, just use cuticle oil to keep the brush in good condition. Grey Crelly is 5 Free and formulated without Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor.

Next up is a new polish brand I never tried before; Pacifica Beauty. The brand is a cosmetic line that makes nail polishes as well as many other products that are cruelty free and vegan. The polishes are 7 Free and 100% vegan and cruelty free. 7 Free means its formulated without. Phthalates, Toluene, Xylene, Parabens, Camphor, Formaldehyde resins, and Animals.
This polish is called Red Red Wine. It is a gorgeous deep red polish. On my accent nail I am wearing Sindie POP! Born To Die over Red Red Wine.

The next polish I love wearing for Fall is Stardust Polish, Soiree. It is a black holo polish with deep burgundy and gold shimmer. It is what I call a color shifter. It looks different depending on the light and angle you hold your nails. as you can see below, I picked up some purple tints in the polish and some holo. (Ingredients to this polish can be found on the Stardust Website below).

Below I used flash on my phone camera to pick up some more of the holo. I absolutely love this polish and its color shifting.

I took one last photo of Soiree in natural daylight. Look at all that holo goodness! I love the way it shimmers in the sun. I can stare at it all day! :D

Last up is a new brand to me called Angel Wings Nail Polish by Vanessa. This lovely polish is called The Countess. It is a deep burgundy shade; which is a perfect color for a vamp look ;) It also has holo; which you can see below. Angel Wings Nail Polish is also made with 5 Free polish base as well. :)

Below is Countess photographed in my light box. Looks more of a burgundy/brown shade when not taken with flash.

The photo below is just showing another angle of The Countess. I really like the color and the colors it shifts to.

The photo below is still The Countess. I took a photo of it under the direct light of my lamp.

I absolutely love all of these polishes. All are so pretty and apply with ease. There will be more I will be adding to my favorites list for Fall shades I am sure! :) You can find some of these products to the websites below. Have a great week and happy shopping to all!

Loaded Lacquer: Megalodon

Loaded Lacquer:
Megalodon

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been MIA a bit. Work has been life consuming and taking me away from my hobby. :/ I know it is no longer Shark Week. I had planned on releasing this blog before Shark Week, but things happen.

This beauty I have here is called Megalodon, by Loaded Lacquer. It is a lovely medium gray with blue tint and has blue, light blue, and silver glitter with silver and white triangles for shark teeth! It also has shimmer  How awesome is this polish?! Below is my manicure. I did two coats and did some fishing for the triangles and placed them on the very tips of my nails. I then used a top coat to seal all the lovely glitter to prolong my manicure.

Below is of my manicure at another angle.I took all of these photos outside with my Sony Cyber Shot so you can really see the shine, shimmer, and glitter of this beauty! It also shows how true the color is in real life.

Below I have a close up of my manicure. I am holding a cuticle bottle. I recommend trying Bliss Kiss: Simply Pure Nail Oil. It is such a great oil for your nails. It has definitely helped with my nail growth, added hydration back into my cuticles and nails, and cleaned up everything wrong going on with my nails. It has been 13 weeks since my last nail break! I am so pleased by these indie nail care products. The second photo on the right is a close up of all the glitter in the bottle. I love the way it shines! Such a perfect blend of colors.

Below is the same photo as above just all on its own. The bottle comes with 15ml of cuticle oil and the tip is a drop nozzle for easy application. It does not drip out when put away in your drawers or taken on the go. I bought the scented version; which smells just lovely! She does have an un-scented version if you prefer. :)

Over all, I love Loaded Lacquer's polish of Megalodon. It really does remind me of the very famous Megalodon that once lived...and may still be living somewhere out there... ;) Hope you Shark fanatics enjoyed Shark Week, I sure did!

Links to Loaded Lacquer is below as well as Bliss Kiss. Unfortunately this beauty was a limited time only for Shark Week. I am not sure if she will restock it. You can always contact the maker through the website.

Sea Lore Polish: Aquaversary and Enchanted Eric Feat. Fat Lacquers

Sea Lore Polish:
Aquaversary and Enchanted Eric
Featuring Fat Lacquers

Hello everyone! Happy Monday! I am off from work today so I'd figure I do a blog while I have the free time for the time being. :) Hope you all had a great weekend. Today I am sharing with you Sea Lore Polish's "Aquaversary" and "Enchanted Eric" by Jamie Lohr.

Sea Lore Polish recently celebrated their two years of business by creating a lovely limited edition polish called "Aquaversary". Pictured below; It is a gorgeous light blue creme polish with shimmer mixed in and holographic pigment. Enchanted Eric is a clear based polish with glitter hexes in blue, gold, and white with tiny white stars. This beauty is based on the character; Prince Eric from Walt Disney's "The Little Mermaid". I mainly bought it because not only do I love the polish and the movie, but it is also my boyfriend's name. :) hee hee. I always call him my Prince Eric. <3 (Back to polish now :D)

Below is of everything that came with my Sea Lore package. She packed in sweet treats and confetti! I love it when indie nail polish makers put thought into their packaging and business cards. Look how adorable Jamie's business card is! I keep all my business cards I am given and made a collage of them all. ^_^

Below I have two coats of "Aquaversary" and did a glitter gradient using "Enchanted Eric". I did do the dabbing method to spread the glitter and a bit of fishing and glitter placement for the stars. For top coat I used two coats of Fat Lacquer's Drive Through Top coat. I am holding the 7.5ml bottle of "Enchanted Eric" It is the mini they sell usually for $5.50

Below I am holding "Aquaversary" which is in its 15ml bottle. This is the full size bottle they sell usually for $10.00

Just one last photo to show but at another angle. I love the way my manicure came out! I love the polishes and the applications were great. I love that I did not have to struggle to get opacity for "Aquaversary" and I love that it was not difficult to get out stars to do my glitter placement from "Enchanted Eric".

Below, you will find the websites to the polishes I mentioned. Keep in mind these are indie polishes; which means they are hand made and some are limited editions like "Aquaversary". If items are sold out, please contact the makers or follow them on their social networks. Happy Shopping and enjoy your week! :)

Bliss Polish: Tiffany Who Feat. Fat Lacquers

Bliss Polish:
Tiffany Who

Hey everyone! Happy Friday! Today I am showing a new polish I bought and received recently. I have been dying to get my hands; or should I say NAILS! on this one ha ha. :D It is called "Tiffany Who" by Bliss Polish. Such a pretty polish that is a sea foam green base that looks blue at certain angles, with shimmer and holo. It looks green in the zoomed in photo, sorry used my iPhone. I did not think I would have time to blog so did not use the actual camera.

Below is a photo of this beauty in three coats without top coat. It dries matte all on its own. It is a beautiful shade that shimmers even when matte. Also, as you can see I changed my nail shape. I have been dying to try something different with my nail shape so I went partially stiletto...almond? I am not sure what it would be considered. xD I love the shape though. :) Hope you all do too.

So, of course I had to see what it would look like when a glossy top coat is over it. It really brings out the holo that is mixed in this beauty! I used one coat of Fat Lacquer's Drive Through Top Coat. Fat lacquers has been very good to me when it comes to top coats and base coats. I suggest checking the site out for them. They also have many assorted polishes that unique to its own brand. Link provided at the very end of my blog post.

Below is something different I have not done. I took this outside of my light box at a Kohls' clothing store. I was trying on jewelry and this one from the Lauren Conrad collection matched my nails.  ^_^ I would have bought it but I spent too much on polish and beauty products! Ha ha just kidding, I had to make some needed purchases at Target.

The photo below shows the gold shimmer and holo that is in Tiffany Who. It looks lovely when the sun hits it! I absolutely adore this polish! Not just because my name is in it :D It is a lovely color that has such a unique blend. I have nothing like it in my ever growing polish collection. <3

I recommend checking Bliss Polish out. There are lovely polishes there to be found, including this one. As always, links to the polishes I mentioned can be found below. Happy shopping everyone and enjoy your weekend! ^.^ <3
