Jolie Polish

Jolie Polish

Hello everyone! Today on my blog I am introducing a brand I had been admiring from a far for a while. It is Jolie Polish!
In my order, I had received 3 cute mini polishes called "Tessellate", "Explosions", and "Goodness Gracious". They are in the upcoming collection called "Ellie Goulding's Song" In my order I also received a 3 in 1 tool brush. It is a brush on one end and a dotting tool on the other end. The brush can be used as a clean up brush and/or for painting. The dotting end of the tool can be used to make polka-dots, leopard spots, leaves for flower designs, hearts, etc.

First up to show is "Tessellate". It is a gorgeous glitter topper with silver triangles, teal and blue hexagons, squares, and dots, and tiny little iridescent glitter.

The photo below shows two coats of Serum No. 5 Day Glow (An indie polish I have mentioned in a previous blog post.), and one coat Explosions with some dabbing done to spread the glitter evenly throughout the nail. I used Fat Lacquers' Drive Through top coat. I went all indie on this particular manicure.

Below is a close up of the glitter. Look at how pretty they all are!

Day Glow glows in the shade and dark. Below shows it glowing in the shade. I had taken this photo in my light box but with the lamp light off. Even the bottle got charged enough to glow as well. :)

Below is another angle of my manicure. I am holding the Serum No. 5 polish bottle here. I love how sparkly the glitters are. I love the blue glitter, but also the silver triangles because I have never had a polish with such a shape and it gives off a pop of color to the mixture of the blue and teal shades.

Overall, I love this glitter topper! Had no problem with applying it. As with any glitter polish, use a good top coat to seal the glitter so it doesn't fall out or get caught up in anything.

Next up is "Explosions". It is a neon glitter polish in a clear base. Below you can see the colors in the mix. There are green and pink hearts, blue, pink, purple, green, and yellow glitter in all sorts of sizes also pink diamonds. The base polish I used is a three coats of a silver chrome polish called Lethal by Cult Nails; which is another indie nail polish brand.

Below are close ups of my nail so you can see a better view of the glitter. It lays nice and flat onto my nails and with a good top coat, they are not going anywhere. :) On the right side of the photo is a close up of the glitter in the bottle.

Wanted to show another angle of the manicure. Im holding Fat Lacquers Drive Through top coat. It is one of my new favorite top coats. I also use their base coat called Appetizer.

Below I am holding the Cult Nails Lethal polish bottle. On my Instagram page I have a photo of it prior to painting Explosions over it.

Overall, I love the glitter polish. It gives a pop of color and fun to any plain polish.

Last of the Ellie Goulding collection is "Goodness Gracious" This one is my personal favorite. I love the way it turned out. It is a clear based polish with tiny yellow glitter, yellow stars, salmon pink triangles, pink and green hexagons, and yellow circle glitter. The unicorn and cloud is a nail decal I got a pack of 25 from Love Angeline.

Below are macro shots of the glitter and the unicorn with the cloud.

Below I am holding the top coat Drive Through by Fat Lacquers. I can't get enough of this glitter!

One last photo of this manicure. I am holding Nicole by OPI: My Lifesaver. Overall, I love Goodness Gracious. It applied very nicely and had no problem getting out the glitters. I love the blue polish I paired it with as well as the unicorn and cloud stickers I used.

Below I tried out the 3 in 1 tool. I first used Nail Vinyls by Linda for the chevron design and then used the dotting end of the tool from Bory to create the dots along side the chevrons.

I love all three glitter polishes. They are unique from one another and are all fun and colorful. You can pair them up with other colors as you wish. The dotting tool is very handy for me. I do my nails often throughout the week and love doing little art here and there when I can. The tool helps a lot with keeping creative and cleaning my edges. In all my manicures above I used the brush on that tool for cleaning up.

*Please note that the Ellie Goulding's Song collection is up for Pre order at this time*
