Polished By KPT: Camellia And Frankenstine Polish: Ickis

Polished By KPT: Camellia
And
Frankenstine Polish: Ickis

Hello everyone! I know it has been a bit since I last posted but, I am back with some more polish to talk about! YAY! :)
Today I am reviewing Camellia by Polished By KPT and a new brand I never mentioned before; Ickis by Frankenstine Polish!

Camellia is a beautiful red thermal polish that turns to a light pink when exposed to hot temperatures or hot water and back to red when exposed to cold temperatures or cold water.

Ickis is a gorgeous glitter bomb polish with purple, magenta, white, and black glitter in all sizes. It's the name of one of my favorite characters of a 90s show called "Ahhhh Real Monsters!" that was aired on Nickelodeon. He was always mistaken for a bunny rabbit by humans who ran into him. :D

Below is Camellia dipped in warm water. As you can see it starts to change to a medium pink shade from the bright red it was when cold.

Below Camellia has finished changing to a light pink.

The glitter polish of Ickis really pops from having a light base coat! It's so shinny and shimmery too! I love it!

The photos below are close ups of my nails when in warm mode. Ickis looks stunning over neutral tones. I love it so much!

Here is a macro shot of the glitters and camellia in cold form. Camellia is a lovely red shade. I used to never red till I got this beauty.

Below shows the stages Camellia goes into when changing from cold to warm; Red to light pink. At Stage one it starts off red since my hands were cold that day. Then, in stage two it starts to change to a pink shade. In stage three it is a complete medium pink. Lastly, in stage four it is a complete light pink shade.

I love both of these polishes. They have no problem going on my nails when applying, I used HK Girl top coat. I have been mentioning in my previous blog posts it is my favorite top coat to use now! It's by Glisten & Glow. I won't go back to using Seche Vite anymore.

Some of these polishes may not be available at the time or the shops may be closed in preparation for another restock, so keep in touch with them and follow their Instagram and or Facebook pages. Happy Shopping! Websites are below! :)

Doctor Lacquer: Stubs & Movember

Doctor Lacquer:
Stubs & Movember

I knew I forgot to mention a polish on my blog. It's the Fabulous November Exclusive; Stubs & Movember by Doctor Lacquer! It was only available for the month of November to bring and support awareness for cancerous diseases in men.

Below is the package my order came in; which is just lovely and is the logo of Doctor Lacquer. I like that Angelyn thought of that. She also packaged the polish in bubble wrap and in a mesh bag. I had also chosen the option to get the mustaches that come with the polish to be put separately from the polish. You could get it put directly into the bottle, but I like having the option of using them for other manicures.

Below is the bottle itself and a close up of what is in the polish. Its a gorgeous black based polish. When exposed to cold, it changes to a grey color almost clear. It has tons of blue, silver, gold and iridescent glitter in all sizes. I love her labels. On the front is the logo with a mustache, on the side she put the name of the polish; Stubs & Movember, and on the other side is the name of her brand; Doctor Lacquer.

Below is my manicure when cold. On my middle finger I am wearing one of the mustache sequins which can't really be seen. I had painted 2 coats of Sephora OPI Break A Leg Warmer (A dark grey based polish) and 3 coats of S&M. My accent nail is another Sephora OPI polish. (Can't remember the name at this time) It's a beige based polish. I had painted the mustache, eyes and eyebrows on my nail. I did have a mustache sequin, but it fell off so I traced where it left an indent with a nail art pen. For top coat I used Glisten & Glow's HK Girl Top Coat. :{)

Another cool thing about this polish is she collected proceeds for each bottle sold. 30% of proceeds went to us.movember.com

The photo below shows the black fading to the color I had painted under S&M. The mustache is also the sequin before it fell off ha ha :D Maybe if I used nail glue it would have stood on. I just tried sealing it with my top coat.

Overall, I love this polish. I would wear again. I love playing with thermals. For this thermal, I do recommend just going with a clear, grey, or white base polish before applying because as you can see below my middle finger has beige under it and the black did not completely disappear. Her shops are currently closed, but you can follow Doctor Lacquer on Instagram and Facebook for updates. :)
As always, links below and happy shopping!

Liquid Sky Lacquer: Mystical Peacock & Linda's Nail Vinyls

Liquid Sky Lacquer: Mystical Peacock
&
Linda's Nail Vinyls

Hello hello all! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I am sharing with you all another look at Liquid Sky Lacquer's Mystical Peacock and some more of Linda's Nail Vinyls!

I first wanted to show you all what I did for my christmas manicure! I used several polishes to this manicure. On my pointer and pinky fingers I used Julep's Alexandra, with Lacquerlicious' A Letter From Santa over it. The middle finger is Arcane Lacquer's Twinkling Tinsel; it's my first time using an Australian made indie polish and was gifted to me by my best friend for christmas. For my ring finger I used a Sally Hansen X-treme Wear white polish and used the straight nail vinyls to make the candy cane stripes. For top coat I used Glisten & Glow's HK Girl Top Coat. :)

Now back on track with my main blog post! I had bought Mystical Peacock a while ago, but only tried it on as an accent along with Twilight Peacock. I had explained in a previous blog post that Twilight Peacock is a holo/duo chrome version, while Mystical Peacock is just a duo chrome version.

Below I am showing off Mystical Peacock and did some designs using Linda's Nail Vinyls. I used the regular sized chevron nail vinyls for my middle and ring fingers and the french manicure nail vinyls for the pointer and pinky fingers. The ring I had made using Mystical Peacock.

Depending on the light, this duco chrome polish may look blue, purple, or a reddish orange color. Below I used indoor lighting from a lamp.

Below is a simple pictorial of how Linda's French Manicure Nail Vinyls work. I first let my black nail polish dry then, apply the nail vinyl over it. I next applied Mystical Peacock over the tip of my nails and carefully remove the nail vinyl while polish is wet using a tweezer. I let it sit to dry and then apply a top coat.

Overall, I love this polish and I have so much fun seeing it change color by just moving my fingers. Duochrome polishes really have captured my eyes! Get this beauty or put it on your polish wish list! Also, check out Linda's Nail Vinyls! They're awesome and super easy to use! Websites are below. Happy Shopping! ^_^
