V-Day Manicures

V-Day Manicures

Hey everyone! Crazy storm we had up here in the North East. All is well so I figured I do some blogging on some V-Day themed manicures! :)

First up to share is Love Angeline's Pass Me the Sweet Hearts. It is a lovely white crelly polish mixed with pink hearts, yellow circle glitter, aqua circle glitter, purple circle glitter, and grey hexagon glitter. I painted about two to three coats over Lime Crime's Milky Ways polish. For top coat I used Dream Polish Gem Glam to smooth the texture out and create a long lasting shine finish. On my accent I actually used a dotting tool from Jolie Polish to create the hearts and polka dots using Lime Crime polishes in Lavendairy (lavender purple), Parfait Day (Baby Pink), Once in a Blue Mousse (Baby Blue), and Milky Ways (White Creme).

Below is a photo of what us nail ladies call the Cinderella hand; the hand that does not get photographed often or is given much attention! :D This is my right hand and all I did was just match it to the left hand. I am a righty so I use my left hand mostly for doing my nail art and swatches. I cannot always do the same designs using my left hand. Dotting is not too hard to do using your non dominant hand once you get the hang of it.

Next up to share is Liquid Sky Lacquer's Wyld Pixie! It's an awesome bright magenta holographic polish! Look at it sparkle with my flash on! I applied two coats and top coat using a Sally Hansen top coat. I recommend waiting till your art dries before applying top coat. You don't want to ruin all that work you spent time on. ;) On my accent I used one coat of Rica Polish Whiteout and let it sit to dry before applying an outline of my heart in a black nail art pen by Sally Hansen. You can find them in many stores that carry Sally Hansen. I bought mine at Ulta. Using a dotting tool, I started filling in the heart using Wyld Pixie and then I let it sit to dry. Afterwards, I applied my top coat.

Below I added some nail stamping to my manicure using MoYou London Alice; The Wonderland Plate Collection plate #02. I used the Queen of Heats character, and the name tag that states "Queen of hearts". The white heart came from another stamping plate and the Pink one I made myself using a nail art pen for outlining and a dotting tool to fill in.

My next manicure I did is an Anti-Valentine's Day theme. Not everyone enjoys this day for whatever may be their reason. I have had my reasons ha ha. When I was in high school I used to wear all black that day while everyone else was in pinks, reds, white, or purple. I never cared for the day even now and I have a boyfriend. We just plan to go out to eat when he's off and go see a movie. No big gifts or anything like that. I just want chocolates really. <3 :D

Anyway, I'm wearing two coats of Virtuous Polish: All Hail The King with one coat of Polish M (Formerly Known as Laquerlicious): V-Day=D-Day. These polishes are so pretty together! All Hail The King is a beautiful limited Edition purple shade with shimmer and dries super matte! Looks great with and without top coat. V-Day=D-Day is another limited edition polish packed with all sorts of glitters and is a glitter bomb! I added black hearts and polka dots on my other nails using a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen and when dried I applied Dream Polish Gem Glam top coat on all nails except for the accent nail with a black broken heart. I used Dream Polish Ultra Matte top coat instead. I love how this manicure came out. It is very easy to do. Don't need to be a nail art expert. :)

Im just showing off an odd hand and bottle pose below ha ha. xD As you can see this polish was sold only for the month of December. You can checkout Virtuous Polish's site to see what their new limited edition polish of the month is.

My last photo of this beauty. I am so happy these photos have been coming out nice and clear! I have been loving my new light box I purchased compared to my handmade one.

My last manicure is of Polish M: V-Day=D-Day on all my nails over Polish My Life: Saint; which is a very light grey creme polish. Had only used one coat of Polish M's glitter bomb! Also did some dabbing and glitter placement. For top coat I used Dream Polish: Gem Glam top coat to seal these beauties!

Below is a close up of the glitters. Did you know that Polish M is donating a portion of the proceeds from this polish to help Fresno Bully Rescue? Check her website for more information. She is donating $4.00 USD to the shelter to help Pit Bulls who are being sheltered there.

My nails again at another angle. Such a pretty polish this is! I hope you all have a nice Valentine's Day <3 or an awesome Anti-V-Day! </3 As always you can find all the websites below to order some of the available polishes. Have a great day and happy shopping! <3 :)
